Senior Network Engineer
The Company
Since our inception in 1997, itSynergy has empowered small- and medium-sized businesses with strategic information technology (IT) guidance, comprehensive IT infrastructure services, and custom residential construction software solutions that provide distinct competitive advantages. Leveraging the latest Microsoft® technology, we build, deploy, and support solutions that improve efficiencies, drive bottom-line results, and enable clients to focus on their core business.
itSynergy sits on the Channel Advisory Council for the Microsoft® Small Business Server Global Product and Marketing Teams. As one of only eight included firms, this honor ensures us a voice into product direction and strategy that few other firms can claim. We are also a Microsoft® Certified Partner and sit on both the United States and International boards of the International Association of Microsoft® Certified Partners. We are one of fewer than 10 firms selected in the Microsoft® Desert Mountain area as a Field Managed Services Partner, and the only field managed partner focusing exclusively on Microsoft®-based network infrastructure for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMB) in Arizona. Frequently referenced by national and international media as SMB technology experts, we are also a Microsoft® Small Business Specialist and the only firm in Arizona with one of only 35 Small Business Server Microsoft® Most Valuable Professionals in the world on staff.
The Position
The Senior Engineer position reports to the Company CEO and the charter of the position is straightforward: to serve as the primary point of contact for all customers on network infrastructure issues ranging from desktop application troubleshooting to advanced infrastructure planning and strategy. Exceptional customer service skills are essential.
The successful candidate will function as the critical technical contact with customers --- the last line of defense. Frequent positive interface with customers is essential. This individual will be expected to maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices and participating in professional societies.
The Person
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and five plus years of directly related experience, preferably in a consulting environment, with proven technical competence as confirmed by industry certification and experience. The successful candidate must hold MCSE (Microsoft® Certified Systems Engineer) certifications for both Windows Server 2003 and MCP (Microsoft® Certified Professional) certifications for Exchange 2003. It is essential to be able to effectively engage with local Microsoft® District sales and technical personnel. Flexibility, time management, customer service and problem solving skills are essential. The successful candidate must be a "hands-on" sort of person --- someone who can "speak English" and effectively address technical issues with non-technical clients in a customer-friendly manner. The position does not currently have supervisory responsibilities.
Compensation
Compensation is comprised of a base salary with excellent bonus potential and will be negotiated with the successful candidate. Additional components include a full benefits package with 401(k), health, vision and dental insurance as well as mileage reimbursement, continuing education program and paid vacation and sick time.
Confidentiality is assured. All discussions are confidential and exploratory.
